- Annual picnic and JHC vs. Hartly cricket match was held on July 01, 2005. This event drew around 350 people.
- Massive fundraising was undertaken through raffle tickets sales for picnic, Sponsors and membership drive towards new JHC projects. $15600 was sent towards JHC projects.
- Website of JHCA Canada was re-launched with a new name www.jaffnahinducanada.com.
- A subcommittee for constitutional amendment was selected to proceed with the amendments to create better organizational structure of JHCA. Subsequently, on 21 August 2005 at the AGM, these constitutional amendments were passed with overwhelming majority votes.
- JHC juniors soccer team was created with the active support of JHCA Canada community. This team beat Scarborough Rangers juniors 2-0 during the encounter at the annual picnic.
