| Thank you for making our Kalaiyarasy 2010 successful - Wednesday, October 20, 2010" Kalaiyarasy - 2010" : Thank you for all the attendees for making this event successful

JHCA Canada held its annual cultural event, 'Kalaiyarasy' on Saturday, September 25th, 2010. This event took place at the Chinese Cultural Center located close to the main intersection of Markham Ave. & Sheppard Ave. in Scarborough.
The event was greatly successful and was a good showcase of Tamil cultural dances, drama, and music group performances. About 450 - 500 JHC old boys, family members, teachers, well wishers and friends attended this event. According to the comments from attendees, the overall program performances were very good. There was something in the program for different types of participants. The dance performances were a treat for people who love classical dances. The drama was full of comedy and entertained everyone. The music programs performed by Sabtheswara music group and Agni group were top notch and provided good entertainment. The 'college song', Canadian national anthem and Thamil thai vaalthu all performed in innovative ways were very refreshing.
Our chief guest Mr. V. Gunaratnam, in his usual jovial way delivered an unconventional and thought provoking speech. We thank Mr and Mrs. Gunaratnam for being the eminent chiefguests at this function.
All in all, we say a big 'THANK YOU' to all the performers, who made our event very successful. We thank all our well wishers, friends and JHC old boys who attended this event and provided help from time to time at the request of JHCA committee members.
Kalaiyarasy event helps bring JHC old boys living in Canada together and reemphasize our commitment to help our school.
Please continue to show your good spirit and support to JHC projects by actively contributing and participating in JHCA Canada activities.

| JHCA Dinner and picnic related - Monday, July 12, 2010JHCA Canada Day Picnic and Sports successfully concluded
On Canada Day (July 01, 2010), we held our annual sports day/picnic for JHCA members and their families to enjoy. Included among the events was a game of cricket between our college and Hardley college. It was an intense game, and both teams gave it their all; JHC scored 101 with 6 wickets in 30 overs, and Hardley won the game in 25 overs, having scored 102 with 8 wickets.
While that was going on, our junior members were playing exhausting soccer games against the Cheetahs Soccer Club (under 10 years of age) and Seelan Rangers Soccer Club (under 12 years of age). At the same time, the JHC family netball team played an exciting game against the Ladies College team. There were amazing plays on both sides and many shots were scored.
All in all, our sports day/picnic has been a great success and everyone seems to have really enjoyed themselves. The event brought over 200 of us to Sunnybrook Park, and hopefully we will have similar successes in the years to come.
We want to thank Dr. Annandakumer for volunteering his time and energy for this glorious event. We would also like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work and dedication, as well as all the caterers and the sponsors for their help. We are all very appreciative of all members and their families for their support and involvement.

Best Regards,
Web Team (On behalf of JHCA Canada).
